-Fixed an issue that was causing AI bots to learn their abilities out of order
-Fixed another issue that was still causing the game to crash when a player leaves the game early
-Added some additional AI ability functionality (Crystal Nova, Storm Bolt, Mana Burn)

gosh ..tks so much bmp..you do all of these without getting any payment . You know ,I only play dota with AI ,don't ask me why ..a dota match with human always make me mad (maybe becuz I'm noob ? xD ) Anyway ,your AI map is the only way I play dota .Tks so much for this fast updating

I am not sure about this version, but in 6.62 Axe doesn't learn Counter Helix!!!! And CM learn her aura only on 12-15 when it becomes useless.

ahmm excuse me, i'm screwed and really excited to play 6.63 unfortunately my warcraft 3 TFT is still in 1.20d, it finds the map but when selected it says "map too big, please select another map" something like that...

I also try downloading dota utilities tool and using WMV version switcher but it only made it worst after I order the program to switch to version 1.24, ai maps didn't show anymore...

where did I made a mistake?
please advice me thanks...

my advice is updated ur warcraft wif a full verison of 1.24b ....do no use version switcher...ur problem is same as mine...google "warcraft 3 1.24b full version" n install it u shud b fine

try renaming the map to "v6.63b AI 0.212" (deleting the "DotA Allstars"),'cause this map doesnt show on my wc3 too (i downloaded the 1.24b final from getdota.com) and by renaming it,the problem is solved.

I commented on one of your earlier posts about the AI's lack of defense and general intelligence. Since your newest post (Formless 2.0) does not reflect that you read or reflect on the comments people post here, I will once again give an example of why your AI needs to be fixed.

Last game I had (me and 4 AI v. 5 AI), at 32 minutes my team was 0-26. I was Lich at 0-1...Vengeful Spirit led the other team with 11-0 and was LEVEL 24! The only times I seem to be able to win -ap (without the -neng) is when I play a carry hero..and even then I don't have a slight chance in winning sometimes because YOUR AI FEED. I often see myself playing 1v3 in a lane and looking at the other lanes I see no progress..very sad. Btw, in the game I just mentioned, none of the enemy Tier 1 towers were pushed.

And I don't play -neng because when I do, I find it's way too easy (i.e. win with any hero, 1.5x the enemy's level by 40 minute mark). Rather hard than easy..but sometimes without -neng your ally AI make it impossible to win.

Please test your own AI before you release it. AI in all games are either too hard (cheating) or too easy to abuse. The key is finding the balance point, but I think your AI is very far from it.

P.S. It would be nice if you replied to some of the comments so at least we know you read them..

To what ^ said: Clearly you cannot read. The goal of these early releases are to address mechanic and game play issues (fixing crashes and so on). BMP made it very clear that the AI behavior would be tweaked later on. Don't tell the man what he needs to do. He's done a hell of a job thus far. He doesn't need to test his own AI before release, because that is not the priority.

However, as I've been playing his AI since v6.51, I've noticed nothing has changed in terms of general AI behavior..the friendly AI have always had a tendency to feed + whatever else I complained about earlier. I do get tired of my team going single digit/double digit K/D with me getting more than half of the K..and usually alone because friendly AI don't coordinate with human players.

In regards to "not telling the man what to do," I do realize that just like Icefrog, BMP is doing this for free. Nevertheless, when you do things for free, it shouldn't (keyword: shouldn't) mean that (1) you act like an asshole because you know you're a celebrity of sorts; (2) you don't continue to make your fans happy; and (3) you don't do/continue to do a good job with whatever it is you're doing. Luckily, neither Icefrog nor BMP do #1.

Anyway, I am not really telling BMP what to do as much as giving feedback..especially since you said he doesn't have to test his work so I guess the feedback is even more important then. Perhaps he will read my comments when AI behavior does become a top priority.

Btw, as far as I know, whenever you program anything you do test your work afterward to check for bugs, etc. What I mean is that it is good practice to do so.

Lastly, honestly I admire BMP's work. I realize it takes some work to get the AI to where it is currently. However, I don't think it would help very much if all I said was "Thanks BMP!" or "Your AI is very good!" Praise is nice but feedback is better because it is more constructive. True fans give feedback.

When I said he didn't have to test his own AI, I meant their behavior, not the actual map. It's obvious he checks his own work. Constructive criticism is good and well needed, but BMP is fully aware that the AI's behavior is broken. As for Formless, he was introduced a while back. You can expect the AI to be fixed in time, as noted in his post about Formless. He is in the process of refactoring the script. Cheers.

Don't assume I don't play online as well. I do play against humans, but there is more delay (0.5-1 second) and plus a lot of humans talk trash and generally don't play with teamwork so there's downsides to playing with humans as well. Just because I pointed out some weaknesses in the AI doesn't mean I think the AI can't become more developed over time. It will never be perfect, but will always be a decent alternative to playing with humans just like the AI in any other game.
